Trina of Athens takes place at Centenary Hall, Ramsgate on the 3rd and 4th of June. Yes, that is jubilee weekend, and we think it's the perfect time to come out and support your local community theatre group! It's inspired by Timon of Athens by Shakespeare, Lis wrote it after reading the play in lockdown, and felt that many of the issues facing poor Timon, are similar to those we witness in todays world. In particular it asks the question of what true friendship is, and highlights how homelessness is a situation that anyone can find themselves in. Because this play deals with the issue of homelessness, we felt it would be a fantastic chance to support The Thanet Shelter, a local organisation supporting and providing shelter to our local homeless community. You can find more about them and donate here: https://thanetshelterandsupport.org
'Legs 11 for the Festive Season' AKA: Two Little Ducks!
We were planning to put on a family drama, mystery, 'bingo play' called Legs 11, for May 2020, but like many other events, covid forced it to close. The good news is it's coming back this December! It's had a makeover for Christmas, and is now called Two Little Ducks. It is still a family drama, with a 'murder mystery esque' storyline and optional audience participation, 'Christmas present bingo'. It's going to be a lot of fun!
Watch this space for dates!
We are looking for new actors to take part in this show, please review the 'about us' page for full details on membership, and contact us if you want to come along to the table read/ auditions.
We are excited for this fresh start with Trina of Athens, everyone has worked so hard on it, and we'd be honoured to have you in our audience.
